Brexit and European Responses to Crises

Early Career Researcher Conference

(The University of Manchester, June 2-3, 2020)

The Manchester JMCE is excited to announce a call for papers for a  Early Career Researcher (ECR) conference focusing on ‘Brexit and European Responses to Crises’.

OVERVIEW

The aim of the conference is to provide ECRs with a friendly forum to reflect on not only Brexit, but more broadly the changing European environment. The JMCE invites proposals for 12-minute paper presentations from ECRs across European Studies disciplines including Political Science, International Relations, Law, Economics, Sociology, Anthropology and Cultural Studies. Proposals including, but not limited to, the following will be considered:

 

  • Brexit and the UK’s future relationship with the EU
  • The changing institutional architecture of the European Union
  • The challenges of economic governance in the Eurozone
  • The immigration crisis
  • Nationalism
  • The environment and climate change

 

Crucial Deadline for Abstract Submission: If you wish to participate, please send an abstract of no more than 250 words to mjmce.conference.2020@gmail.com by Wednesday 18th of March.

 

The conference will take place at the University of Manchester. No registration fees. Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided. A number of travel grants are available for presenters.
