Funding Opportunities

The Manchester Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence offers funding opportunities that support research, teaching, and student engagement with European studies. These initiatives foster collaboration, enhance learning, and drive innovative research into European policies. Here’s an overview of the three main funding streams:

Teaching and learning grants

Our Teaching and Learning Grants help educators bring European studies into their courses. These grants fund projects that develop new teaching methods, update curricula, and create classroom activities, all aimed at engaging students with European issues in impactful ways.

Seminar and workshop grants

We provide Seminar and Workshop Grants to support the organisation of events focused on European topics. These grants cover costs for academic seminars, workshops, and conferences, encouraging collaboration among scholars, professionals, and students engaged in European studies.

Student research bursaries

To inspire the next generation of European studies scholars, we offer Student Research Bursaries. These bursaries provide financial support for students conducting independent research on European topics, giving them the resources to deepen their studies, gain hands-on experience, and make meaningful academic contributions.

Each funding stream has specific eligibility criteria, application procedures, and deadlines. Explore each section for detailed information and guidance on applying.
